Speaker: Dr. El-Gaaly, Chief of Regional Services, Comprehensive Psychiatry Care & Assessment Stabilization Unit (CPC/ASU), and Interventional Psychiatry Services, Homewood Health Centre
This webinar will focus on Major Depressive Disorder and Treatment Resistant Depression (TRD), explore the diagnostic and management approaches for patients suffering from TRD, and help develop an understanding of Interventional Psychiatry Services as an available treatment for TRD, which includes Ketamine, Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
About the Speaker:
Dr. El-Gaaly is Chief of Regional Services, Comprehensive Psychiatry Care & Assessment Stabilization Unit (CPC/ASU), and Interventional Psychiatry Services at Homewood Health Centre.
Since joining the Homewood team in March of 2022 Dr. El-Gaaly initiated and developed the IV Ketamine Clinic leading to the creation of Interventional Psychiatry Services, combining ECT, rTMS, and IV Ketamine under one umbrella. Dr. El-Gaaly holds appointment to Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University.
