Description
The Essentials of OHS & DM Course is a 40-hour certificate program designed to provide participants with an all-around introduction to the profession, ensuring they are equipped with the tools required to be successful occupational health, safety, and disability management professionals.
This certificate is aimed at anyone looking to enter the field of Occupational Health and Safety, looking to expand their knowledge of disability management/WSIB/RTW, looking to prepare for the CNA certification exam, as well as those in varied occupational backgrounds. This course can be used towards Mohawk College’s Occupational Health Nursing Program.
This course is offered both face-to-face and virtually but is currently only being offered virtually. The course is offered 3-4 times a year.
Cost: $1469 including HST
Refund & Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 15 days before the start date of the course, you will be refunded the full amount minus a $100 administration fee. If cancelled within 15 days of the start date, you have the option to defer until the next session, but no refund will be administered. Registrations that are cancelled after the course start date are not refundable. Refunds will not be provided for registrants who do not attend the course.
Course Schedule: Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from April 26th – June 9th from 6:30-9:30pm.
Attendance and participation are mandatory – missing more than 2 classes will result in a failing grade. Some classes will be pre-recorded to listen at your own convenience but plan as if every class is live and your attendance is required.
