Instructions

Since 1971, OOHNA -- “The Voice for Occupational Health Nurses” – provides professional services for YOU while you provide on-the-job health care services for your company.

You qualify for membership in OOHNA if you are a Nurse, RPN/LPN, or Nurse Practitioner holding a current license and are practicing in a Canadian province or territory.


Read through the membership types below and select the one that best describes you, then complete the application form. Be sure to complete all required fields.

After you have successfully submitted your application it will be reviewed and accepted, please allow up-to 5 business days for this process.  Once accepted, you will receive an email to set up your member profile. 

If you have applied for a paid membership type you will receive your invoice via email on approval of your application, invoices must be paid within 30 days of membership approval to maintain standing.

Apply for a Regular OOHNA Membership if you are: 

A Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse or Nurse Practitioner holding current registration under the Nursing Act 1991 or under any Successor act who practices Occupational Health Nursing in Ontario or resides in Ontario and practices Occupational Health Nursing elsewhere.



$225+HST


Apply as an Associate OOHNA Member if you are: 

(OUT OF PROVINCE) A Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, or Nurse Practitioner currently licensed by their provincial licensing body other than Ontario working in Occupational Health Nursing. Must be licensed to practice in the province of residence. 



$50+HST


Apply as a Retired/Non-Practicing OOHNA Member if:

1.  You have been a full member of the Association for the five years immediately preceding the initial application for retired membership in the Association.

2. You are a member of the Non-Practising Class as defined by the College of   Nurses of Ontario who retains their nursing license but does not have professional liability insurance.

3. Permanently retired from active employment in Occupational Health Nursing and have not renewed their license to practice from the College of Nurses of Ontario.


If you are currently an OOHNA Member and will be renewing as a Retired/Non-Practicing Member, please do not reapply as a member. This will create duplicates in our database and can impact your membership. Please send an email to administration@oohna.on.ca to request the downgrade from Regular member to Retired/Non-Practicing.

Apply for a Student Membership: 

Student Membership is granted to full-time nursing students. Membership is January 1 to December 31 of the same year. Confirmation of enrolment letter required each year in order to renew membership.
